it's been quite a while since i wrote anything here. been occupied with work and whenever i'm free the malas factor mengatasi segalanya. lagipon life have not been that very interesting lately and just maybe i'm not in the mood to talk about it.

what a day!

tadi kak ngah tepon abah, dier cakap... "dedeq nk dapat adeq..." heuhuehue.. ade ke patut dah 4 bulan mengandung skrang baru kak ngah tau.. been quite some time i've been asking her.. "tgh mengandung ka  perut besaq sgt nih" dia cakap tak... skrang tgk!! masin sungguh mulut gue loh.. haha.. kak su pon nanti kena pi check.. kot2 ada sorang lagi pulak...

just last weekend my parents n i went back to penang.. and for the first time ever watch euro2008 match, italy vs romania with my cousin.. and italy lost! haha (maen mcm malaysia je aritu) erm, masa tgk tu terpikir gak seronok tgk football match ni but still not thrilled enough to keep me awake till the morning light..
and about penang, the current bridge is undergoing massive construction building the third lane.. i really think the third lane will be adequate enough to support the current traffic.. yet the boleh land primier still wants the second bridge.. and they are also building a convention center in the much congested-hard to breath penang... the saddest part is they are building it on bumiputra's land.. it's not about that i'm racist, just sad that seeing the Malays in Penang are being almost wiped out from the city.. maybe ade la sikit2 kat balik pulau..tp entah brape lame bleh tahan..

hurmm..anyway, it's an exciting day.. i'm gonna be an uncle to another lil baby soon.. insyaAllah...

entertainment allowance for the kabinet ministers will be cut by 10%... mcm la diorang pakai elaun tu, pegi mane2 pon semua nyer sponsored.. makan minum semua free.. so, we can say the 10% of their extra pocket money that they do not use is being deducted. lgpon, ape la sgt 10% tu padahal project berbillion2 like the 2nd penang bridge tambah lagi peruntukan.

berjimat cermat

demi menyahut seruan kerajaan untuk berjimat cermat. i'm just thinking to myself.. what can i do.

• naik basikal dtg ofis; the ride is about 3km only plus i get my daily exersice! tp kalau ada keje kene amek n angkat barang semua.. kene la bawak my car gak
  
• kalau tunggu dalam kereta for anything no more pasang enjin lama2 (except it is a extremly hot day)
• makan full meal only once a day; nk kata jimat kat sini takleh sgt sebab amek herbalife for the other two meals.
• makan sayur banyak2; for now harga sayur tak naik lagi
• no more fast food; this will be easy to do (hopefully)
• nak beli motor~~~~ ; mcm dah takde harapan
• aircon kat rumah kene kurang2kan; pasang timer elok2 so that lepas dah tido lena aircon pon tido same
• kurang2kan budget beli handphone;hehehehehehe.. i don't think so (evil grin)
• tanam sayur2 kat rumah, bela ayam, bela lembu..kalau duduk apartmen tanam hidroponik; ni kalau ikut kata menteri (don't think this fit my entry subject as it'll be impossible for me to do it)

i think ada banyak lagi we all can do, because the prices will rise and yet our kuasa beli still is the same. arini malas nk bebel dalam blog about what's on the news. just please everyone, open up ur eyes, ears and mind to what is happening around us. This is our country and our home. She needs us to take care of it. Please don't ignore her.

The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch

hurm, i just finished reading the short book The Last Lecture and now i wanna share my thought on it.

firstly, the book is about an educator/teacher Prof. Randy Pausch who have been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and got only months to live. apparently the book is a compilation of the last lecture he perform at Caenege Mellon (when he say the last lecture it is really is the last)

he face his cancer (and death) like no other (at least that i know of) and want to live as much as he can with the little time given to him. he still manages to smile and even crack up jokes about it. he said that he is not in ignorance about it, it's just there no reason to live the remaining of his life mourning about it.

the quotes given in the book gives me inspiration to carry on going with whatever is at hand. be thankful with everything that u had and have. 
it's not the situation that determines the way our live is going. 
but how we deal with the situation given is.

he always says in the book about seeing our problem like a brick wall that only let pass people who really wants it and work hard enough to get it (blocks away the others as well). though it is hard to climb the wall but when u've work so hard on it, even a little achievement will give u sense of fullfilment. and even if u don't succeed, all the trials u have gone through can make u a better person.

actually, the whole lecture is for his 3 young children. he thought that he want to leave something for his children to remember him by. he wants to share his thoughts, memories, lessons he have learned, his pride, joy, tears, regrets and basically his life. the thought of having his children grown up without a father is just unbearable to him. so, he do this lecture for his children plus some video tapes and letters. for example an advise for his 18months old baby"don't start dating til u r 30, and when u r dating, don't listen to what the boy is saying , look and see on what he do"

lastly i would like to highlight something that seems very interesting. people nowadays always invest on life insurance to ease the burden on their love ones, not that is is not good.. but we should not left out the emotional insurance. how dreadful life would be to losing one of your love ones with a feeling of regret for not being with each other when there was time. (i donno if i've said this the right way, but reading the book will give u some sense of what i'm talking..huhu)

so, i don't think i can manage to write all of my thoughts about the book. just go to MPH and buy one aite. It is worth it!

it's a feel good day for me today.. got my k850i balik dari kedai (aritu rosak).. got my work on the 2 pumps done as well, and tested it on the ship.. alhamdulillah, all ran smoothly..

nothing to say really right now, i'm just greatful for today.

anyway, i will review a book that i'm reading later "the last lecture" plan to finish it tonite.. a good and inspiring book.. be sure to catch my review on it because i will surely quote a lot from the book, it may help us to have a greater and indepth view of life. chiow

BolehLand (Malaysia) - RM2.70/litre <--- this one is confirmed!! minyak oh minyak kenapa engkau naik.. macam mana aku tak naik.. harga pasaran global yang naik.. latest news for the day says that crude oil per barrel will rose to USD140.. and guess what, there's hearsay saying that petrol price will be raised again later in august..maybe by another 70cents! wakakaka.. i know it is not a laughing matter, but somehow being sad about it also would not bring any good..gelak je la buat hilang tension memikirkannya.. i was on the way to KL when i heard about the new petrol price hike from my sis and a fren.. believe me it was not a surprise to me right then because prior to that day the pak lah government kononnya akan umumkan mekanisme harga petrol yang baru on that day and will not be implemented immediately.. so, like the kisah pak lah kawen, pembubaran parlimen, tarikh pilihan raya... dapat disimpulkan what has been said by them can not be trusted at all..


anyway, the real shock for me is when i was watching bernama tv... harga baru minyak diesel ialah RM2.58~~~~ ...............................(terkedu jap).. HAH!!!! terkejut sebenar-benar terkejut! kenapa la diesel naik tinggi sangat deh, bukan sebab ape.. not only because i'm a diesel user.. but, kalau harga diesel naik, barang2 lain akan lagi cepat naik.. this is because almost all vehicle used to transport goods are diesel driven.. and so, the price hike will certainly have an immediate effect on them.. erm, and as for me takde dah nk bawak my d-max to save fuel.. harga petrol ngan diesel beza 12sen je.. takde guna menahan segala hentakan dah gegaran enjin diesel.. lebeyh baik naik kete petrol with a smaller engine capacity..


then the next day say an interview with Dato' Shahrir Samad on bernama tv. he said that he think all the subsidy for the petrol would be more beneficial if it is channeled to the people through food.. erm, i do agree on this theory.. but how will they do that? nk bg kat peruncit ke? nk bg kat petani ke? nk bagi kat pemborong ke? or nak bg kat penguna trus? herm, i really think they should think about how to deal with this before announcing anymore "brilliant" ideas.. bukan ape, sedangkan bagi subsidi diesel kat para nelayan pon boleh buat nelayan jadik tokey minyak diesel kat negara jiran.. it is not impossible kalau bagi subsidi kat petani dalam bentuk bantuan baja ke hape ke, diorang jadi tokey baja.. how can they control it? the food industry is very large in terms of people involved in it.. lagi banyak tangan2 nk kene control.. and need i remind u, we ain't living in utopia.. jangan nanti org yang pandai menipu menjadi lebih kaya dan yang jujur trus menjadi papa kedana.. whatever it is, there's no reason to get mad at the government kan.. not their fault that the fuel price increase.. diorang pon jadik mangsa keadaan semasa.. p.s: if any of you remember a title in utusan last few days.. "Kos Petronas meningkat lebih 200%, tidak ramai peduli – Hassan"why being such a cry baby!!!?? padahal tiap2 tahun declare untung berbillion2.. hurmmmmm... i'm just speechless about it...

Handphone ataupun telefon bimbit secanggih mana pun tidak berguna sekiranya coverage tak ada kan . Di dalam lif dan basement tempat parking kereta merupakan antara kawasan 'pantang' bagi handphone (hp). Ini kerana di tempat-tempat tersebut coverage hp amat rendah sehingga 1 bar dan kadang-kadang tiada langsung!

Bayangkan sekiranya anda berada dalam situasi yang yang cemas dan amat memerlukan pertolongan. Tetapi hp mahal anda itu tidak dapat melaksanakan tugasnya dengan cemerlang.
Tentu anda mempunyai sebab munasabah untuk berasa kecewa dan menyesal bukan???

Ini satu informasi untuk anda dan sesiapa sahaja yang menggunakan hp 1G, 2G ataupun 3G.
Dengan menggunakan wang kertas RM2 sahaja anda boleh mendapatkan full bar untuk hp walaupun di mana sahaja anda berada.

Ini kerana wang kertas RM2 mempunyai satu elemen untuk 'boost up' coverage hp anda.
Mungkin anda berasa sedikit hairan. Tetapi percayalah ini merupakan satu kenyataan yang tidak boleh dinafikan!!!

Kaedah ini sesuai untuk semua pengguna 013, 016, 019, 012, 017 dan sebagainya.

Caranya ( Perhatian sila baca dan ikuti langkah-langkah ini dengan teliti) :

Langkah 1 : Off atau matikan hp anda.
Langkah 2 : Lipatkan wang kertas RM2 menjadi sama saiz dengan bateri hp anda.
Kemudian selitkan duit yang telah dilipat tadi bersama bateri hp anda.
Langkah 3 : On atau hidupkankan semula hp. Periksa bar pada hp anda.
Semasa hp anda on, pastikan kod 'ID. 10T' tertera pada skrin hp anda.

Sekiranya kod 'ID. 10T' tertera di skrin, hp anda tidak akan mengalami masalah coverage lagi!

*Sila ambil perhatian;

Sekiranya kod 'ID.10T' tidak tertera pada skrin, sila periksa sebuah satelit yang besar di belakang wang kertas RM2 tersebut.

Pastikan sama ada satelit tersebut berfungsi dengan baik atau tidak.

Sekiranya masih tidak berjaya, sila ketuk-ketuk sikit hp anda dengan duit RM2 tu sekali.
Sila periksa samada tengkolok Agong jatuh ataupun tidak. Kedudukan tengkolok yang tidak stabil mungkin penyebab mengapa kod 'ID.10T' tidak muncul di skrin hp anda.

Kalau masih tidak berjaya hentakkan hp di dahi anda 10 kali.

Mungkin kod 'ID.10T' dah bertukar menjadi 'IDIOT' ! Sape tahu yer tak??

Jgn marah kalau dah terkena..... .
Nasib baik duit RM2 tak dicetak lagi. Kalau tidak, lagi ramai yg fikir benda ni betul-betul. ..tapi cobaan.......
